According to the American Heart Association, every 26 seconds an American has a coronary incident and every 60 seconds someone dies from one. This program offered by the City provides both Hands Only CPR and AED classes to Johns Creek residents.
CPR is an emergency procedure in which the heart and lungs are made to work by manually compressing the chest overlying the heart and forcing air into the lungs. CPR is used to maintain circulation when the heart stops pumping, usually because of disease, drugs, or trauma.
Participants must be at least 12 years old and Johns Creek residents. Each class holds up to 10 people. See the date listed below for the available classes and times offered.
This class is free and there is no certification provided. Limit of 10 people per class.
Class will be taught at Fire Station 62, 10925 Rogers Circle, Johns Creek, GA 30097.
