Johns Creek neighborhoods are participating in the Johns Creek Fire Department's H.E.A.T. (Hometown Emergency Action Teams) program, which prepares residents for emergency and natural disaster events.
When emergency resources are unable to respond to the high call volumes associated with major disaster events, you need to know what to do.
The program is a lot of fun and you will learn real world skills to protect your loved ones and your home!
There is no obligation to attend each class but we encourage you to attend all classes.
You will learn:
Home Fire Safety
CPR & First Aid
Fire Extinguisher Training
Light Search and Rescue
Natural Disaster Readiness
Mass Casualty TRIAGE
Special Needs Resident Safety
Emergency communications
Team Organization
*Please note, the H.E.A.T. program is a comprehensive, 8-week course. To request specific course training, please contact Community Services, 678-474-1641.
